ABOUT US

ExpoDesign is a creative custom fabrication company that specializes in unique and larger than life builds.  Since 1994, ExpoDesign has partnered with a wide variety of clients including universities, municipalities, corporate events, general contractors, the marching arts, parades and businesses of all types. Whether your next project is whimsical or utilitarian, we are ready to collaborate with you to make your next event one to remember!

WHY WORK WITH EXPODESIGN

Simply put, it’s out process and our mindset.  Our process begins with collaborating, concepting, and providing you with rough estimates of the project. Once, we zero in on a design you love, we begin illustrating, defining the scope of the work needed and providing you with final costs. Then it’s time for a signed agreement and construction. Our mindset is simple, we look for clients that value partnership as much as we do.

Purdue Special Events Department

“Purdue University, the Special Events team in particular, has had a long-standing relationship with ExpoDesign—approximately 15 years. ExpoDesign works side-by-side with the team to design and execute the aesthetic features of an event. ExpoDesign creates custom, high-quality 3D props and unique theming elements to project the Purdue brand identity at executive-level, alumni-directed events.”

500 Festival

“The 500 Festival has consistently had a great experience working with Matt and the ExpoDesign team. They have been a longtime, trusted partner of the 500 Festival, and help make the magic of May come to life for the IPL 500 Festival Parade. They produce high quality products that fit our needs and are in communication from concept to final product.”

Program Coordinator/Artistic Director with Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps

“The props were excellent, and they were truly a great product that stood the rigors of a drum corps competitive season.”

The Expo Process

Expo has a 5-step process that helps walk our clients through the entire process from concept to completion and throughout we continue to ask ourselves: can we work together; can we help, how can we help.

1. Discovery

First, we start with asking… what, when and where? With this we are better able to determine if the project is possible and fits within our strengths. We also look to find out about your process (i.e. decision makers, contract needs, terms, and budget).

2. Visualization

We put pencil to paper and develop concepts or mood boards along with rough pricing; to share with you based on our conversations. Sometimes we hit it right on the head from the start and sometimes we need to make refinements. Either way is OK, we want to deliver something you will love. After we zero in on the concept and you are happy with the estimated cost, we begin to take it to the next level and provide color illustrations and quotes based on the approved concept.

3. Development

The third step is where the magic starts. A defined scope of work is assembled, final artwork, materials, colors, design specifics and price quotes are finalized.

4. Fabrication

In the fourth step, ExpoDesign provides scale shop drawings and timelines for approval prior to beginning the fabrication and if necessary, where we identify progress dates and milestone checkoffs. Then, our artists begin construction on the project.

5. Implementation

The fifth and final step is where the project is then delivered or installed. Here is the big moment, the realization and reward of all the hard work. Your idea brought to life!
